100 Days of Jules, Day 30: I’m Not Sure Anyone Gets The Joke

This interview is so uncomfortable.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

In 2017, Julianne Hough appeared on The Harry Connick, Jr. Show to promote God-knows-what. Harry plays a game with Julianne where she has to guess the same answers to questions as her brother Derek answered. (Derek isn’t there, but they recorded his answers previously.)

The questions are dumb because they asked Derek questions about Julianne and then Julianne has to guess what Derek would answer, not just answer truthfully. These games are always so dumb. Anyway, one of the questions is, “What is your favorite app?”

“Oh, my gosh, I know what Derek’s gonna say. He’s gonna say Buffalo Wild Wings or buffalo wings,” she says with some hesitation in her voice.

“There’s an app for buffalo wings?”

“Well, it’s a long story but basically when we asked him what his favorite app was, instead of saying Instagram, even though I said Instagram, he goes, ‘I like Buffalo Wild Wings.’ So I think he’s going to say that.”

They play the video with Derek’s response and sure enough he says “buffalo wings.”

“If there’s not an app before today, there should be one, right,” Harry says.

Clearly, Derek was making a joke that his favorite APPetizer was buffalo wings after someone asked him about his favorite APPlication. I think Derek knows it’s silly, but I’m not sure Julianne got it and Harry FOR SURE didn’t. I’ve never witnessed such awkward television in my life.

100 Days of Jules, Day 29: "(The swine flu) has been so hyped up by the press."

Topical!

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

There is truly a Julianne Hough video for everything. In 2009, while Julianne and boyfriend Chuck Wicks were waiting for the valet to get their car after a sushi date, paparazzi catch them and interview them for a whole three minutes and 48 seconds. It’s amazing for a lot of reasons but mainly for the story Julianne tells about being on tour with George Strait. This was in 2009 when the swine flu was going around.

“We were in Hidalgo, Texas, and it was the best thing ever,” she says. “George Strait came out with the sanitary mask on and everybody was laughing and it was funny. And then he took it off and threw it on the floor, like, ‘Yeah, I’m not going to go there.’ But it was really funny.”

SOUNDS FUNNY!!!!

Then the pap asks, “Are you worried about the flu or no?”

“Nah. It’s been so hyped up by the press,” Julianne says.

FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

100 Days of Jules, Day 28: All The Things She’s Endorsed

She’s part celebrity, part influencer.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

Julianne Hough is a woman of many interests. And because she isn’t exactly an A-lister, she has to rely on partnering with brands to make an income. Here is a list of brands and organizations she has partnered with, endorsed, or volunteered for. She also endorsed Thomas Parsekian, Aaron Paul’s father-in-law, for LA judge and even though I cannot find confirmation of that, I can promise it happened.

100 Days of Jules, Day 27: Is She Faking A Country Accent?

She was born in Utah.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

Here is a thing that happens when you’re young and trying to make it in country music: You fake a Southern accent. Taylor Swift did it. Brad Paisley did it. And Julianne Hough did it.

While doing the rounds of interviews for country radio stations, Julianne talks about her former Dancing With The Stars partner Hélio Castroneves and her accent gets pretty thick. Reminder: Julianne Hough was born in Utah and spent five years in London. Then moved back to Utah and then moved to LA. I believe she lived in Nashville for only a little bit.

Please watch and let me know if you think that’s a fake accent.

100 Days of Jules, Day 26: She Wants To Go To France To Learn How To Cook

Riveting information.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

She can do it all! Sing! Dance! Act! Connect to herself and the earth and everybody else during her workout called Kinrgy!

But there is something Julianne Hough cannot do. But she wants to learn. So much so, it’s on her bucket list. Wow!

Julianne confessed to Rachael Ray on The Rachael Ray Show what’s on her bucket list.

“I actually would love to go to France and learn the language and also go to school to cook actually,” she says. “Funny enough.”

We assume she added the “Funny enough” because Rachael Ray is a cook but honestly who knows! Julianne Hough! The Cook!

100 Days of Jules, Day 25: Julianne and Derek Almost Had A Vegas Residency

So close.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

In an interview with a Las Vegas news station, Julianne Hough tells the reporter that she and brother Derek Hough almost signed on to do a Las Vegas residency.

“You know, it’s funny, we actually had that conversation two years ago and we almost did it and then we both got two different jobs, so we were like, ok, well maybe we’ll push it off a little bit, but hey, we would totally be open to doing something like that. It would be amazing. I mean, the variety kind of act show, like, you know, modern day Donny and Marie, you know, who knows?”

YOU KNOW, WHO DOES KNOW????????????!!!!!!!!!!

100 Days of Jules, Day 24: Ryan Seacrest Loves Flowers In Cars

Either he does this a lot or it’s the only story she tells.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

On two separate occasions — possibly more — Julianne Hough speaks about how romantic her boyfriend Ryan Seacrest is.

First with Ellen in November 2010, Julianne explains that Ryan surprised her by filling her car with flowers.

“He’s not even in town and I got in my car and there’s like flowers everywhere and just super sweet,” Julianne says.

“In your car,” Ellen asks.

“Yeah, in my car that got, you know, picked me up, yeah,” Julianne says while Ellen speaks over her.

(I, honest to god, think about this a lot and this one anecdote has convinced me Ryan Seacrest would be a good boyfriend.)

Then in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in January 2013 (A WHOLE THREE YEARS LATER), when trying to think of an example of how Ryan has been romantic, Julianne tells the same story — that when Ryan can’t pick her up from the airport because he’s too busy working, he’ll “put flowers in my car when I get there.”

It’s unclear if she means Ryan sends a car with flowers to pick her up from the airport or if once she gets back to her house, her car is full of flowers. But either way, sounds like flowers in the car is his thing!!!!

Do we think this happened once and it’s the only story Julianne can think of or do you think it’s like his go-to move? Ryan, please weigh in!

100 Days of Jules, Day 23: Kinrgy Cured Endometriosis

Convenient.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

“I will tell you, through this transformation of really connecting back to my truth, I haven’t had symptoms of endometriosis because of the love and kindness I’m giving to my body,” Hough told Women’s Health.

“I believe there’s stress, shame, guilt and suppression of female energy that’s associated with endometriosis, so de-layering that has really helped.”

IS THAT HOW IT WORKS!!!!

100 Days of Jules, Day 22: "How’s that boyfriend treating you?"

Unneccesary question.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

During a May 2012 episode of Dancing With The Stars, dancing champ and alumna Julianne Hough appeared to promote her new movie Rock of Ages. She and her co-stars, including Mary J. Blige but not Tom Cruise, danced and sang for like four minutes straight. Julianne did an amazing job and looked amazing and proved why she is the best (I’m not kidding???).

At the end of the performance, host Tom Bergeron caught up with Jules to ask about the movie and what she thought of that season’s contestants. It’s boring until he asked about her personal life.

“How’s that boyfriend treating you,” he asked about Julianne’s boyfriend at the time, Ryan Seacrest.

“He’s treating me pretty well,” Julianne responded.

IMAGINE. IMAGINE. IMAGINE RYAN SEACREST HOSTING THE OSCARS RED CARPET AND SOMEONE ASKING HIM HOW JULIANNE WAS TREATING HIM. IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN. Julianne just danced and sang her ass off for four minutes straight and Tom Bergeron had the audacity to ask her about her boyfriend, A MAN WHO TALKS FOR A LIVING.

Listen, I understand the question because we’re all curious about famous people’s personal lives and I think Ryan Seacrest is an extremely talented man, but C’MON. Can you imagine returning to your college to perform in front of all your professors and show how smart you are and how much you’ve grown only to be asked about your older, boring boyfriend? I am distraught.

100 Days of Jules, Day 21: I Desperately Want This National Enquirer Story To Be True

Julianne Hough as a Scientologist just makes sense to me.

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones’ 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

In April 2013, the National Enquirer ran a story about our girl Julianne that is so good, I can only hope it’s true. The rag reported that Julianne really, really wanted to marry Tom Cruise.

Just one month prior, Julianne and her boyfriend Ryan Seacrest announced they broke up and the year before, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes split up. In the National Enquirer article, an insider reveals that Julianne wanted Tom so badly, she enlisted her friend to write movie scripts meant for the both of them.

“Julianne has been combing through scripts for movie projects that would reunite her with Tom because there was major chemistry between the two on ‘Rock of Ages,’” revealed an insider.

According to the article, not only was Julianne attracted to Tom because he could sing and dance, but she also wasn’t scared of his Scientology beliefs.

“Julianne, who was raised a Mormon in Salt Lake City, is willing to explore other religions and admires Cruise’s devotion to Scientology, said the source,” the article reads.

“She believes that she and Tom are destined to be the ultimate Hollywood power couple. Don’t be surprised if they are spotted out together in the very near future.”

This makes complete sense to me. Like, I can 100 percent envision Tom Cruise jumping on a couch with glee over Julianne Hough. I can also 100 percent see Julianne Hough being a great Scientologist and getting lunch with Elisabeth Moss and Kelly Preston.
